The biggest price at the 1997 prestigious Biennale of the Visual Arts in Venice was Bitzan's "Library", a 2-meter tall, 4-meter long installation, made out of pieces of raw-wood which intersect, with the names of famous scientists, writers and philosophers written with black ink on the exteriors. "I wanted to create a state of an object which has been impregnated with what others have done before me", said Bitzan in an interview.
